1961 Jaguar 3.8 Mk. 11 Manual with Overdrive RHD UK reg. Built to Race/Competition Spec. This Mk 11 is an original matching numbers UK RHD car first reg. 1.3.1961, with the original Buff Log book and current V5C document retaining the original reg. no 5000 VF( which is available by separate negotiation )plus a Jaguar Heritage Certificate. Having had only 4 owners from new with low mileage the body shell required only the replacement of the outer sills during a back to bare body shell rebuild for race/competition use it retains all the original floors, boot floor ,outer body panels, doors bonnet and boot with superb panel fit.

The car has been prepared by a Jaguar Specialist to concours standard in every respect and is finished in Old English White in virtually as new condition never having been raced. It was built to be eligible for the HSCC,CSCC and Jaguar racing, but can be easily and swiftly modified for HRDC or F.I.A races. The car is available with full spec. equipment for either series.

The 3.8 race spec. matching nos. engine is complete with all parts new or refurbished and ready for assembly and comes with an engine stand.

The gearbox options available are either the original matching numbers 3.8 Moss box with O/d and prop. which would require upgrading to race spec. or a refurbished full race close ratio V12 E-Type box with competition bell housing with hydraulic release bearing, twin plate race clutch and special prop.

The engine is available with either the original matching nos. 3.8 head and cams requiring upgrading to race spec. or with a full race straight ported E-Type head by Chesman Motorsport fitted with phosphor bronze valve guides, competition buckets valves and springs, Competition oil filter head, D-Type cam covers and D-Type cams.

The carb options are either one pair of race prepared 2″ SU,s or one set of brand new triple down draft Webers with a special custom made manifold . The original SU,s fitted when new are also available.

The engine spec. is the original matching numbers refurbed 3.8 block , lightened polished crank, Cosworth pistons , Arrow Steel rods, heavy duty chains and timing gear sprockets, aluminium water pump, harmonic crankshaft damper, damper hub, crank pulley, hydraulic timing chain tensioner, competition oil pump , competition head studs, full race lightened steel flywheel, thin ring gear, heavy duty flywheel bolt set , mains competition studs and bolts, oil cooler and aero equipe fittings, Mallory starter motor, Mallory distributor.

The body has modified rear Coombs arches with a Coombs style louvred bonnet and is fitted with a Heated front screen, all other windows are polycarbonate. FIA Roll cage fitted by the Roll Centre. ATL Racing Fuel Tank (100 litres)with 2 electronic fuel pumps aero equip. Uprated wiper motor. Electronic rev counter and all new gauges. Single race seat and mounts.Quick release steering wheel, Plumbed in fire extinguisher.

Original refurbed wood dash and door cappings with door cards to all doors.Carbon fibre front and rear bumpers or front and rear rechromed original bumpers are available .

The running gear is as follows, Competition front suspension with comp. springs and adjust shocks, uprated suspension bushes,anti roll bar with rose jointed links., solid mounted subframe. Front AP Racing brakes with originals requiring refurb available. Rear end with Rebuilt low ratio LSD diff, Adjust rear dampers uprated rear springs, rose jointed links with the original front suspension and brakes are available requiring refurb. Rear brakes XJ6 rear callipers with vented discs, competition brake master cylinders and pedal box, adjust brake balancer, twin competition servo,s all aero equip. with all original rear brakes and suspension available requiring refurb.
