1961 Jaguar MK. 11 3.8

1961 Jaguar MK. 11 3.8 Auto LHD UK Reg. Finished in Masons Black with Burgundy Hide interior. This Left Hand Drive example was supplied new to Jaguar Cars in New York U.S.A. on 22.02.1961 and fitted with power steering and wire wheels from new as recorded on the Jaguar Heritage Certificate. In 1988 the car was shipped to and registered in the Netherlands then later registered in the UK in 1994. From 2007 to 2011 the car was restored and upgraded by C.M.C. Jaguar Specialists of Bridgnorth in the UK costing a total of £70,000 Sterling with detailed supporting invoices. These include in 2011 a full repaint with some new panels and other repairs/ upgrades including Coombs style short rear spats and a cavity wax seal costing £13,500.

The interior and headlining had previously been retrimmed along with the Webasto Monte Carlo full length sun roof with tinted sun visor. All woodwork and picnic tables were re lacquered. The engine has been upgraded with a 4.2 unit mated to a modern ZF Automatic box and the 3.8 head has been ported with 2.0 inch HD8 S.U.,s fitted . Other upgrades include Coopercraft 4 pot front brakes, stainless steel sports exhaust, uprated roll bar, Koni front and rear shocks, Alternator conversion ,Upgraded power steering , Discreet air conditioning system fitted, , Central Locking and immobiliser, Becker Mexico 7948  Retro Look Sound System with Navigation and Telephone with concealed Kenwood Speakers with woofers cost £5000 plus, Derrington wood Steering wheel,Competition 5.5 by 15 inch 72 Spoke chrome wires with Pirelli P4000 205/70/15 Tyres, Plus other detail mods.

Since 2011 the car has been in a significant UK private collection and is in superb unmarked condition inside and out plus the driving experience is transformed with the various upgrades in particular the more flexible uprated 4.2 engine and ZF auto box make the car much more usable and nimble in modern road conditions either on the Motorway or in town traffic. Complete with Handbook Maintenance Chart and Wallet , all tools including jack and small tool box , Heritage Certificate, Invoice file from 2000 plus MOT file and parts book..
