1962 Austin Healey 3000 MK 2A RHD with Overdrive . Finished in Colorado Red with Light Burgundy Hide piped Black this early wind up window, folding hood example with the early dash was despatched in September 1962 to the USA and returned to the UK in the late 1980,s when it received a back to bare shell professional restoration in 1990/91 with conversion to right hand drive with a detailed photographic record before , during and after the work was completed.
Three owners and 23,000 miles covered since completion of the restoration with the last owner since 2007. During his ownership the car has been continually upgraded and improved including a Dennis Welch Alloy Cylinder Head, upgraded brakes , handling kit, high ratio steering, larger carbs and brakes have been fitted. The gearbox and engine have been recently rebuilt with a fast road cam , H/D clutch with lightened flywheel, 6 branch manifold with side exhaust, new Michelin Tyres fitted and the car has been repainted with invoices for this work over the last few years totalling over £20,000 .
