Supplied new in London W.1 on 18.4.1972 to a customer who owned it until 1986 when it moved to a new owner in London W.2 then again in 1990 to London W.12 before being aquired in 1992 by Adam Clayton the bass guitarist of the world famous rock band U2 who kept it in his collection for 8 years up to 2000 when it was sold to an owner who kept it until 2006 then back to an owner in London W.8 before moving to Yorkshire in 2010. The car has been the subject of detailed restoration work by Maserati Specialist Bill McGrath in 1989/90 at 21,500 miles. The engine was rebuilt at 25,000 miles by Marque Specialists Moda Cars Essex in 2000 and has been serviced and maintained by several marque specialists including Terry Hoyle and Bill McGrath over the last 12 years and up to date with a large invoice file plus MOT certs. and tax discs. The recorded mileage is just over 35,000 from new and the car has a copy of the original Buff green log book plus owners handbook and a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm. An awesome car to drive and enjoy and in superb condition in all respects , arguably better than a Daytona and one of the the finest examples in the UK.
